Inflatable Slides
As recreational equipment, inflatable slide is largely welcomed by children and even adults.
Sliding slide needs to climb, so it can strengthen children’s confidence and willpower, nurse children to be brave, and endow children with pleasure of success.
However the requirement of sides’ design is very strict. A slide consists of three parts, namely climbing steps, a flat, and a slide. The materials used to make slides are often wooden, stainless steel, terrazzo, or inflatable. The surface must be very smooth. The climbing steps are designed with 70°’s slant angle, 40cm’s width, 6cm’s height, and balustrades are added to the two sides. Slide board is designed with 30－35°’s slant angle, 40cm’s width. Besides, there should be mat with more than 3cm’s thickness under the slides to protect children from hurting.
With a variety of kinds, shapes, and materials, slides, as inflatable bouncers, have great attraction to children. But because of crowding, carelessness while playing and some other reasons, it is quite common to be hurt. So it is very important for parents to be together with children and ready to keep off danger.
There are several common dangers in sliding which parents should keep in mind and taken immediate and simple action when it happens.
The first one is bruise. The surfaces of some slides are not as smooth as required. And some wooden slides often become rough and even appear fissures after long time using. These are often the causes of children’s bruise. The wound coursed by this way is usually very small, parents should pay attention to wash away dirties by alcohol.
The second may be the falling from high. Some slides are too high, when children are playing, they pay no attention to their ground, and they may fall down from ladder. On these occasions, their heads are often hurt. At this time, parents should not move the child casually. They should firstly check the child’s head to make out their heads are hurt or not, and then take some corresponding measures.
The third is contusion. Telescopic slide is always easier to make children contusion. Minor contusion can be treated by ice compress.
The last may be crush. As there may be many children playing, it may happen that a child is crushed by others. On these occasions, the parents should take the child out and observe whether there is anything wrong with the child.
